PRO LEVEL

SSI freediving instructors are the industry’s best freediving trainers, utilizing innovative training techniques to introduce new freedivers to the world of breath-hold diving. Do you dream of spending your days exploring the underwater world on a single breath? Pushing yourself to new levels of underwater breath-holding and teaching others to freedive? If you want to live a life full of adventure, become a freediving instructor.

Turn your passion into a career and start living your dream!  Delivering the gold standard in freediving education, highly qualified SSI Freediving Instructors live their lives that people only dream about.  Freediving Instructor Candidates should be fit and flexible individuals that can display outstanding watermanship.  During the 2-week Freediving Instructor Training Course, candidates are provided with the knowledge and skills to conduct freediving programs in a safe and enjoyable manner.  Candidates are evaluated on their water fitness, freediving performance, professionalism, academic and in-water teaching, general freediving knowledge, and understanding of the SSI Education system.

As an SSI freediving professional, you are ultimately responsible for the welfare and safety of your students and your own. Your ability to make sound decisions and evaluate risks is critical. You must be able to evaluate everyone’s stress levels and abilities and be ready to assist or rescue if needed. SSI professionals also need to be able to deliver a proper foundation of knowledge to create competent freedivers. Not only does this require performance at a higher level than recreational freedivers, but also a very high-quality standard of training.

SSI prepares and evaluates their freediving instructors like no other, making them solid, professional, and the best in the industry. A member of the RSTC in the United States and the WRSTC in Europe, and one of the very few training agencies holding a global ISO certification, your professional training and the training you provide to your students, is recognized anywhere in the world.

Course fee is 70000 PHP whether you’re aiming to become an SSI Level 2 Instructor, or an SSI Level 1 Instructor (if the requirements for the SSI Level 2 Instructor cannot be met). The course fee includes the mandatory instructor package, Freediving Instructor Course kit, and Training Techniques kit. For new SSI instructors, the FITC fee also includes the one-time SSI professional registration and the SSI membership for the current year.
